The advent of Internet commerce and hi-tech computerization enabling companies to conduct business world-wide, including over the Internet, has magnified the need to file for trademark and copyright protection and to vigorously enforce registered marks.
Our Firm renders trademark and copyright advice and is engaged in litigation principally on behalf the owners to enforce such marks and to protect the value of these rights against infringement and dilution (disparagement).
Among our clientele: a national bank, a nationally known software company, two large soft drink distributorships and a major university.
The Firm’s skill is dependent upon its knowledge of the federal copyright laws and the Lanham Act which governs trademark issues, as well as New York State intellectual property laws. Interfaced with our substantial experience with litigation, our ability to represent clients in prosecuting or defending trademark and copyright actions is well-honed.
