Judge Daniel Palmieri retired as a New York State Supreme Court Justice in January 2018 and joined the firm immediately thereafter as Senior Counsel.

In addition to his role as senior counsel, Judge Palmieri currently serves as an appointed Judicial Hearing Officer for the Nassau County Supreme Court commercial and matrimonial parts and is part of a team assigned to conduct settlement conferences in specially designated matrimonial cases. Judge Palmieri also acts as a Judicial Hearing Officer for the Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations Bureau.

Prior to his election to the Supreme Court, Judge Palmieri served first as a Nassau County District Court and then County Court Judge. During his service in the Courts, Judge Palmieri presided over many commercial, real estate, land use and zoning matters in addition to sitting in parts that handled only matrimonial actions and guardianship cases.

Before joining the bench, Judge Palmieri was Vice President – Legal at Corporate Property Investors (CPI), a privately held real estate investment trust which was the owner and operator of shopping malls and other real estate properties throughout the country. During his tenure he drafted and negotiated leases, construction and service contracts and litigated on behalf of CPI.

Judge Palmieri is a graduate of St. John’s University, law school and college.
