Local Attorney Named One of America’s Super Lawyers

Peirez, Senior Partner of Garden City’s Reisman Peirez Reisman and Capobianco law firm was selected for inclusion in the edition of Super Lawyers that appeared in the October 3rd edition of the New York Times Magazine. Selection to Super Lawyers is based on a rigorous peer-review survey by the top attorneys in the country. The publication reaches 13 million readers nationwide.
Celebrating their thirtieth anniversary this year, Reisman Peirez Reisman and Capobianco had all five of their partners recognized by Best Lawyers in their various fields of practice.
Attorney David H. Peirez has been a local resident of Great Neck for the past 45 years. Since March of 2007, David Peirez has served as Chairman of the New York State Comptroller’s Real Estate Advisory Committee for the New York State Common Retirement Fund. It is the nation’s third largest pension fund and has nearly $160 billion in assets, and over $9 billion allocated to the real estate investments which Peirez’s committee oversees.
Peirez was one of the three founding partners of Reisman Peirez Reisman and Capobianco in 1981, and he leads their Corporate Law, Trademark and Copyright, Electronic Commerce, Environmental Law, Business Transactions, Commercial Litigation practice. Considered a leader in the field, Peirez lectures frequently before professional associations and community organizations on topics concerning Federal and State environmental law and hazardous waste litigation, as well as Electronic Commerce including the legal issues surrounding the Internet.
A graduate of Bowdoin College and New York University Law School, Peirez was admitted to the New York Bar in 1962.
